Name: Spinister
Canon: Transformers IDW
Canon Point: After Transformers GI Joe oneshot crossover: Nothing Will Ever Be the Same Again!
Age: 4 million ish? Older Than Megatron.
History: Link!
Personality: Spinister is a rather contradictory character in the grand scheme of things. A mouthy teammate once described him as being paranoid, trigger-happy, far too fascinated by his own hands and, indubitably, the ‘stupidest mech in the whole universe’. He’s not entirely wrong per say, but said teammate was also higher than a kite during the course of the description and also prone to similar bouts of stupidity. They are, after all, teammates.
Spinister IS prone to starting fights with anyone and thing that happens to look (or glow, for that matter) at him wrong (real or imagined) if given half the chance. As far as he’s concerned, the world is out to get him and he will deal with it by enthusiastically shooting and beating it into submission. The list of things that Spinister needs to exact undeserved vengeance upon is unending and being constantly updated.
Luckily for most people (and objects) concerned, Spinister is... easily distracted.
Which is to say, he is VERY easily distracted. As long as he’s not already committed to the act and caught in the flow, Spinister’s attention span stands on shorter side of things. Once a reliable source of authority or distraction has been established, Spinister’s hair-trigger violence can be easily redirected into more productive things.
Like putting his raw medical genius to use fixing people up. Not exactly something most people would expect from a mech who otherwise has the attention span of a wasp and about triple the violent tendencies. He has Primus-given hands that would probably be the envy of all Cybertronian medics if they had any idea the bastard existed.
And asides from his impressive surgical skills, there are also peculiar moments of incredible perceptiveness that seem to discount the theory of Spinister being entirely ‘stupid’.
Abilities/Skills:
- Turns into a giant magenta helicopter with guns!
- Functionally immortal
- Doesn’t need oxygen
- Shooting at things with decent accuracy! (Thank you Primus-given hands!)
- 4 million years of combat experience! Also probably the most competent combatant of all his teammates asides from Grimlock.
- Medical genius!
- Expropriation specialist!
- Can create a holomatter avatar of an 8ft magenta woman in armor. Link on holomatter abilities here.
- Weird ability to just pop up out of nowhere despite being 45 feet tall.

- Fighting! Murder! Destruction!
- Can tell at a glance whether or not junk might be useful (expropriation specialist) and is capable of figuring out various alien pieces of tech
- BIG
Weaknesses:
- Tends to solve most problems with violence
- Gullible
- But also extremely suspicious
- Too Big
Items: A stock standard laser rifle for a mech his size class and some McGuyvered medical supplies including a small circular saw. His rotors can be used as a sword.
